Great Lakes Farms is a family-owned 155 acre fruit farm in Elgin County near the shores of Lake Erie in Port Stanley that offers visitors a wide range of activities and attractions. An event where everyone is welcome to Discover Our Good Nature!
Springwater Pride will be held over the entire weekend, with the main events taking place on the Saturday. Attendees will have the option of camping for one or two nights, or attending the Events being held on Saturday.
Friday night mingle with fellow guests at the Community Campfire Social. Saturday will include Guided Hikes With Ranger Em, a Colour Run through Springwater Forest paddle board tutorials, exhibits from food, crafts and local groups supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and free canoe and kayak rentals.

Imagine spending a magical evening surrounded by twinkling stars, enjoying a fun-filled carnivallike atmosphere, and watching an amazing feature film with your loved ones. Make Fall Scented Playdough!
One of my favorite things to do this time of year is make cinnamon and pumpkin spice playdough, it smells fantastic and give you that feeling of fall.
I invite you to do the same, best of all when you are on one of your hikes you can find some nature items like sticks, pinecones, acorns, and rocks to go along with it!
Here is the Playdough Recipe I use
2 Cups Flour
½ Cup Salt
1 TBSP Cream of tartar
(1 to 2 TBSP of Cinnamon, Pumpkin Pie Spice, or cocoa powder) *optional
3 TBSP Oil
2 Cups Boiling water
(Food Colouring, mint, vanilla) *optional
Mix 2 cups of flour, salt & cream of tartar together.
Add oil, water, food colouring together
Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients while stirring
Knead until ball is formed
If it is sticky add extra flour and/ or a small amount of oil while kneading
Store in a Ziplock bag or airtight container

Here is the link to the google map for the 2023 Country Holiday Tour event. Enjoy a self-guided shopping tour to 19 unique, small businesses in West Lorne & Rodney.
You can pick up a map and handout at your first stop on the tour and at the end. Drop your ballot in the ballot box at your last stop for a chance to win 1 of 3 draws.
The event is November 3, 4, 5, 10 am – 5 pm each day.
So, load up the car for a road trip to experience shopping in the country!!!

Make Fall Scented Playdough!
One of my favorite things to do this time of year is make cinnamon and pumpkin spice playdough, it smells fantastic and give you that feeling of fall.
I invite you to do the same, best of all when you are on one of your hikes you can find some nature items like sticks, pinecones, acorns, and rocks to go along with it!
Here is the Playdough Recipe I use
2 Cups Flour
½ Cup Salt
1 TBSP Cream of tartar
(1 to 2 TBSP of Cinnamon, Pumpkin Pie Spice, or cocoa powder) *optional
3 TBSP Oil
2 Cups Boiling water
(Food Colouring, mint, vanilla) *optional
Mix 2 cups of flour, salt & cream of tartar together.
Add oil, water, food colouring together
Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients while stirring
Knead until ball is formed
If it is sticky add extra flour and/ or a small amount of oil while kneading
Store in a Ziplock bag or airtight container
